Gilbert, SC (Paul Kirby) – The SC Attorney General’s Office has announced the arrest of two more Lexington County men for sex crimes involving a minor. According to Attorney General Alan Wilson, Henry Richard Leeder, Jr., age 55, and Randy Carroll Rawl, age 54, both of Gilbert, have had 13 total charges brought against them connected to the sexual exploitation of minors. The Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators, with assistance from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office, made the arrests.
Investigators say that both men encouraged a minor to produce and send sexually explicit images to them. They also solicited sex from a minor and engaged in criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Both men were arrested on October 23th of this year. Leeder was charged with one count of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, in the second degree, and four counts of criminal solicitation of a minor. Both are felony offenses that are punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count. He was also charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor in the first degree, another felony offense punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment. Additionally, he was charged with one count of disseminating obscene material to a person under age 12, a felony offense punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment.
Rawl was charged with one count of criminal sexual conduct with a minor, second degree; two counts of criminal solicitation of a minor, felony offenses punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count. Additionally, he was charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor in the first degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment; and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree, another felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.
These cases will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
