West Columbia, SC - Airport High School’s Army JROTC drill team brought home two 1st Place Overall finishes in October competitions.
The award-winning Golden Talon team earned the top spot overall at a drill competition October 26 at Blythewood High School. Other finishes at the event included 1st Place in Individual Exhibition with Arms, Armed Knock-out and Unarmed Knock-out. They placed 3rd in Duel Exhibition with Arms.
The Airport team also took 1st Place Overall at the October 5 Greater Midlands Area Drill Meet. Other finishes at this competition included 1st Place in Squad Regulation without Arms, Platoon Regulation with Arms, Platoon Regulation without Arms, Solo Exhibition with Arms, Duet Exhibition with Arms, Platoon Exhibition with Arms, Platoon Exhibition without Arms. They placed 2nd in Color Guard and Squad Regulation with Arms.
