Swansea, SC - Swansea High School’s HOSA chapter inducted 21 new members at their annual installation ceremony held October 9, 2019.
Inductees include: Adelyn Allen, Andin Bankert, Kamari Brooks, Myleea Churchwell, Megan Collins, Aaliyah Felder, Katelyn Kaigler, Peyton Kirby, Alejandra Ramirez, Daisy Ramirez, Kalista Riley, Hannah Rivers, Taryn Shoemaker, Kaley Shumpert, Abby Smith, Anna Smith, Pennie Smith, Bailey Speares, McKenzie Speights, Kaylee Spires, and Sierra Thigpen.
During the ceremony candles were lit by officers to symbolize their loyalty, commitment, and potential of the health field. A single white candle was lit before them to represent the purity of purpose.
Officers are Taryn Shoemaker, President; Abby Smith, Vice President; McKenzie Speights, Secretary; Katelyn Kaigler, Treasurer; Kaylee Spires, Historian; and Peyton Kirby, Reporter.
The evening concluded with refreshments and fellowship among students, family members, and SHS staff members. HOSA Advisors are Kelly Kemmerlin and Kelly Hartley.
