Generations of Chapin having Christmas Tree contest to help businesses and lift residents’ spirits d

Chapin, SC (Paul Kirby) – Generations of Chapin is finalizing plans for their First Annual Christmas Tree Contest at the assisted living facility. Starting on December 2nd, area businesses will be able to decorate a tree at Generations that will eventually be judged by its residents. The winner of the contest will receive a $50.00 VISA gift card and a full feature write-up in The Lexington Ledger news if they desire.

This is a wonderful opportunity for businesses to show their talents, products and promote themselves to the community all at the same time. With the number of talented decorators and artist related businesses in and around the small Lexington County town, this judging could be tough. Not in a business that focuses on these types of things, that is perfectly okay. Wouldn’t it be exciting to have a winner that’s in the hardware, grocery, or auto repair business?

Generations’ own main Christmas Tree is already well-known for its beauty. Each year, families stop by that have no connection with Generations but want to take their family’s Christmas photos in front of the gorgeous tree in their main foyer. This year, more trees will only add to already wonderful Christmas experience.

Although the facility is intended for people who have reached a point in their lives where they need a little assistance with things like keeping their medications straight and their laundry done, Generations provides an environment for its residents that is both elegant and graceful. Residents are treated like family; It’s what is known as the Generations Senior Experience!

The Christmas Tree contest will be from December 2 through the 23rd, 2019. Residents will cast their vote on the last day. For more information, or to learn how you can enter, e-mail Activity’s Director and Associate Administrator Mary Mac Slice at marymac@generationsofchapin.com.
