Red Bank, SC (Paul Kirby) - Shortly before 8:30 AM Thursday morning, deputies were called to the Seven Eleven, previously the Village Store, on Platt Springs Road in the Red Bank area of the county.

While interacting with a male subject at this location, this man began disobeying the commands of the deputy. The deputy attempted to take the man into custody. He resisted and broke free, running north across Platt Springs Road.

Additional deputies responded to the area and after a brief foot pursuit, the man was apprehended and taken into custody shortly after.

It is unknown at this time if any of the deputies or the suspect were injured. We have asked for further information and will update you if and when we receive any.
