Chapin, SC (Paul Kirby) – Officers from the Chapin Police Department are investigating an armed robbery of the Circle K store on Chapin Road that occurred early Tuesday. The store sits at the intersection of Amick’s Ferry and Chapin Roads in the heart of the town. Chapin police officers received the call at approximately 2:00 a.m. and were on the scene quickly.

At this point, officers are in the early stages of this investigation. We know that deputies with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department aided the Chapin Police Department in searching for a suspect. Chapin Police Chief Seth Zeigler hasn’t released any other information at this time. We expect that he will once he gets a bit further into the investigation.
