Columbia developer announces construction of West Columbia townhomes

Columbia, SC - Columbia developer Bill Bradshaw announced the first week of December that construction is beginning on Flow 2, twelve townhomes overlooking the Congaree River on a beautiful corner in West Columbia. Site preparation is already under way and full construction on the three-story, three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath townhomes will begin this month.

The site is located just across the Gervais Street Bridge from Columbia. It sits off Meeting Street at Sunset Boulevard. The new homes should be ready for owners to move in by November 2020.

Flow 2 offers six units with beautiful river views and six with magnificent views of the city of Columbia. It’s also across the street from the New Brookland development. It is located on the West Columbia Riverwalk and adjacent to West Columbia’s River District. That revitalized area features an array of new and established restaurants, galleries, and boutiques. It also has an interactive art park and a second park that’s all inclusive, even to children who have disabilities!

“This whole area is just booming,” Bradshaw said. “It’s the hottest part of the Midlands without question. We are looking for people who want the lifestyle of being close to town, who don’t want to hassle with a lot of maintenance, who want the convenience of being able to walk to five or six restaurants, and to the gym. It is in-town living with a beautiful view.”

The townhomes are inverted with the main living space on the third floor to take advantage of the views. That level of each home has an open floor plan with a kitchen and living space and beautiful ceilings from 10 to 13½ feet. The second floor has two bedrooms and two baths. The first floor has a full bedroom, bath, and other usable space that could easily be used for an office. That is accessed from the garage. Riverview units have a two-car garage; and city view units have a one-and-a-half-car garage. Other parking is also available.

Marketing and presale for Flow 2 Townhomes is being handled exclusively by the Wheeler & Wheeler Real Estate team licensed with Coldwell Banker. The general contractor for Flow 2 is Hill Construction Co. and the architect is Davis Architects.

Priced competitively for today’s market from $415,000 to $525,000, the townhomes range in size from 2,158 square feet for city views to 2,795 square feet for river views.

Flow 2, like Flow, both offer gated access, the convenience of a shared pool and pool-house, and private access to the West Columbia Riverwalk.
