Lexington, SC (Diana Nation) - The Lexington Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding Calvin Marquies Simpson, 38 of Winnsboro, SC. Simpson is wanted by the department for several counts of assault and battery which occurred earlier this month.
At approximately 1:15 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2019, officers were dispatched to the Victorian Lakes Mobile Home Court, located at 4801 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington, for an assault that had just occurred. During the course of the investigation officers spoke with a female victim who had been struck multiple times in the head and face. Officers observed blood on the victim’s face and shirt and she had multiple lacerations including a cut to her lip. Officers also observed bruising on the victim’s face from a previous assault incident that had occurred on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.
The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Calvin Simpson is wanted for two counts of Assault & Battery - 3rd Degree. He is described as a black male, 6’2” tall and weighing 255 pounds. The department is unaware of any vehicle Simpson may be using at this time.
