Third man dies after St. Andrews shooting spree; coroner identifies the deceased

St. Andrews, SC (Paul Kirby) – A third man has died at a local hospital after a shooting spree that took place Tuesday morning. Deputies say that the gunfire began at approximately 11:00 a.m. on December 17, 2019.

Investigators said early on that two men died in an apartment at Woodland Village just off Bush River Road near I-20. A third man was transported to a local trauma center where he passed later that same day. Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said all three died of multiple gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.

Investigators are now saying that a fourth man was able to escape the gunfire where he made it outside and dialed 911. They are hoping that with his help, and information and evidence gathered from other sources, they will be able to locate the shooter/s and piece together the details of the incident.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has also identified the victims of the carnage in the normally quiet complex off Butternut Lane. Coroner Fisher said late Tuesday that Branton T. Booker, 28, and Sheldon D. Livingston, 26, were the two found dead at the scene. Duwan E. Williams, 27, was the man that survived the trip to the hospital before later dying. She also said that the three victims were residents of the apartment.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating. They are asking for help from anyone that may have seen or heard anything regarding this horrendous crime. They say that you can make tips in several ways. First, you can call CRIME STOPPERS at 1-888-CRIME SC. They also have a website at midlandscrimestoppers.com where there’s a submit a tip tab.
