Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) - The Cayce Department of Public Safety and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office are investigating a body found dead alongside the interstate. According to officials, at approximately 7:00 a.m. Thursday, the Cayce Department of Public Safety responded to a report of an unresponsive male who was found deceased near Exit 116 on Interstate 26, westbound.
During their investigation, Cayce DPS officers ask that drivers please take extra caution in the area and find an alternate route if possible. This is an ongoing investigation and more information may be released soon.
