Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher and her team have now released the findings from their investigation regarding a man found dead this week alongside Interstate 26. He was located westbound near exit 116 at approximately 07:00 a.m. on December 19, 2019.
According to Coroner Fisher, she ordered an autopsy, which was performed on December 20, 2019. The results of those test confirmed that the man’s death was not a result of trauma or suspicious circumstances. Due to the nature of his death, the man, she has decided that she will not publicly identify the deceased.
An investigation by the Cayce Department of Public Safety is ongoing.
