Lexington, SC – Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green said early Saturday that his department was investigating an overnight death at the business of Southern Dreams Realty. This is located at 102 Gantt Street in the town.
At approximately 11:36 p.m. on December 20, 2019, officers with the Lexington Police Department were dispatched to a shooting that had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers found a man who had been shot lying on the ground in the parking lot of the business. Witnesses stated that a holiday party had been going on when two male individuals had gotten into a physical fight. One of the men shot the other male resulting in fatal injuries.
This is an active and ongoing investigation with the Lexington Police Department, the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
