West Columbia Police Department assistant police chief elected to FBI National Academy Board

West Columbia, SC - West Columbia Police Department (WCPD) Assistant Chief Scott Morrison was elected the 2nd Vice President for the South Carolina Chapter of the FBI National Academy Associates Board this month. He was a graduate of the 251st Session of the FBI National Academy in 2012.

Chief Dennis Tyndall said, “Having a representative from our department serve on this board of prestigious law enforcement professionals goes to speak to the quality of officers that we have as members of our team. Assistant Chief Morrison is an asset to the department and we are proud of his accomplishments”.

Assistant Chief Morrison began his career at the West Columbia Police Department, in 1995, as a Patrol Officer/Jailer and worked his way up through the ranks to Assistant Chief in 2016. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, FBI National Academy, and South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Association Commander School. He also received the Jackie Brothers Integrity Award in 2014 from the West Columbia Police Officers Foundation.
