Chapin, SC (Paul Kirby) – As they have for decades, and certainly have since three area girls were hurt in a terrible crash with a train, the Chapin Community is coming together again to help some of their own. Although the three girls made it through the collision, they all were hurt, and one is still recovering from a long list of life-threatening injuries that may take her years to completely get over.

The people of the Chapin area have already raised tens of thousands to help with these family’s expenses. Sure, there was insurance, but in an accident when there are critical injuries, not everything is covered. One has been treated at the Shephard Center in Atlanta. It’s one of the best rehab centers for spinal and brain injuries in the country. If you add up missed time from work, driving back and forth, and other expenses not covered by insurance, the bills can pile up quickly. That’s why it’s so important that these families get help from a caring community.

Now, you have an opportunity to have a nice evening out and help the families of Aleigh, Gracen and Sophia again. Baxter Teal, a national recording artist, will be doing an acoustic set with all proceeds benefitting the girls’ families. It is being sponsored by The Justin Pepper Foundation and Q&A with Kari and Nicholle.

The event is scheduled for Friday, January 17, 2020 in the Community Room of the Chapin Town Hall. Doors will open at 6:00 pm and show starts at 7:00 pm.

Seating is General Admission and are just $10 each. There will be food available for purchase from Doza Rizen Café, and a cash bar will be available for those in attendance over the age of 21. That will be set up by the experienced staff of Chapin’s own the Tipsy Toad Tavern.

You can purchase tickets on-line through Eventbrite by simply clicking on this LINK. If you have questions, please call 704-778-6235.

The organizers want to especially thank Baxter Teal, Emma Carter, Al Koon, Doza Rizen Café, the Tipsy Toad, the Justin Pepper Foundation, and the Town of Chapin for all they’ve done to help bring this to fruition.
