West Columbia police helping federal agents search for naked man early Wednesday

West Columbia, SC (Paul Kirby) – The West Columbia Police Department, deputies from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, and federal agents are searching for a naked man running or hiding in the area of River Bend Apartments early Wednesday. The man, who federal agents were trying to serve with a warrant, apparently jumped out of an apartment window naked and fled, possibly on foot.

Although River Bend is actually in Lexington County, those apartments are surrounded by the City of West Columbia. The agent’s description to the WCPD officer and county deputies was simply that the man was black and had no clothes on! He must be on foot because he doesn’t currently have any pockets to have had car keys in. Since it was 32-degrees outside when he fled, he’s possibly the guy covered in goosebumps!

If any resident or commuter in the area sees a black man who’s nude, please dial 911 and give the police his location. Do not allow him in your home no matter what tall tale he tells. If you hide him knowing that he’s on the run from law enforcement, you are committing a crime. How are they going to decide whose car he’s put in when captured? Good hunting guys!
