West Columbia, SC - A Brookland-Cayce High School student is one of 94 students nationwide to win an Honorable Mention Award in the Next Gen Personal Finance PAYBACK Challenge.
Hannah Osmer, a sophomore, received the award from among 900 contest entries across the United States as part of Next Gen’s third annual PAYBACK Challenge. Participants played the award-winning college finance game, then wrote a 250-word essay from a prompt about college finances, which was then judged and narrowed to a group of winners.
The Lexington Two student was one of two recipients selected from South Carolina. All Honorable Mention winners will receive a $500 scholarship.
Next Gen Personal Finance provides financial curriculum to more than 25,000 participating financial educators in an effort to equip students with financial skills to succeed in the future.
