Cayce officer says there’s no news on missing child

Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) – First Sgt. Evan Antley of the Cayce Department of Public Safety said Wednesday at 11:45 a.m. that their investigation into the disappearance of Faye Swetlic continues. Faye went missing Monday afternoon after getting off her school bus in the Churchill Heights area of Cayce. She was reported missing at around 5:00 p.m. Over and over again Antley said during Wednesday’s press conference, “We are working to bring Faye home!”

Antley asked that citizens continue to pray for Faye. He also asked that people stop passing along unsubstantiated information and only rely on information posted by Cayce on their social media sites. He also thanked all citizens who had given them photos and video footage from the area.

At this point, the department says they will change their schedule and only give regular briefings at 11:45 a.m. unless they have something else new to share. He distributed a video of Faye getting off the bus Monday that he asks everyone to share over their social media.

If you have any more information regarding the disappearance of Faye, please call the Cayce DPS’ hotline at (803) 205-4444.
