Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) – First Sgt. Evan Antley, spokesman for the Cayce Department of Public Safety, said Friday morning that the man they found deceased in Churchill Heights after Faye Marie Swetlik’s body was found has been identified. Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said Friday the man was Coty Scott Taylor, 30, of the Churchill Heights neighborhood. He was found deceased in his residence at 602 Piccadilly Square in Cayce.
Antley said that officers had located the body of Faye in the woods near her residence close to the NAPA Auto Parts on Airport Boulevard. Ironically, this is with in a very short distance of where they gave their press briefings the first few days. She was located in a wooded area near that building.
Friday, Antley said that evidence found does link the two deaths together. He did not elaborate any further.
According to police, Chief Byron Snellgrove found Faye’s body Thursday. They said it did not appear as if she had been where she was found long. Cayce investigators are continuing to methodically piece together all the details in this case.
