Gaston, SC (Paul Kirby) – Late Friday night, Barron Lorel Adams, 19, of Gaston was killed in a single vehicle collision in southern Lexington County according to County Coroner Margaret Fisher. She said that the accident occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m. on February 14, 2020.
According to investigators, Adams was driving on U.S. 321 south near Woodtrail Drive in the Town of Gaston. He was headed toward Swansea when he ran off the right side of the road and hit a utility pole. Fisher said he did not have on a seat belt when the accident occurred. He died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
The incident is being investigated by the Gaston Police Department.
