Coroner identifies woman killed in collision on I-26 Sunday morning

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the woman who was killed in a vehicle collision on Interstate 26 eastbound near Airport Boulevard over the weekend. The accident happened around 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2020.

According to Coroner Fisher, Ms. Jamee Green, 24, of Columbia was pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries. Green, who was not wearing a seat belt, struck the rear of a tractor trailer, her car spun out of control and flipped, and then her vehicle was hit by another semi. The drivers and a passenger of the semis were not injured.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
