Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Cayce Department of Public Safety is in the process of investigating a shooting that occurred at the U Bar early Sunday morning. This bar is located at 1919 Airport Boulevard not far from where it intersects with I-26. According to 1st Sgt. Evan Antley of the Cayce Department, this shooting happened around 2:20 a.m.
Antley said that the man who was shot received a non-life-threatening injury in his upper extremity. He was driven by civilians to a hospital where he was literally dropped off. The car and any witnesses in it fled before they could be questioned.
A vehicle across the road in the City of West Columbia was also believed to have been hit during this incident. The West Columbia PD is investigating this.
Antley said that their investigation into what happened inside the bar is ongoing.
