Elderly Red Bank couple found safe

Red Bank, SC (Paul Kirby) – A Red Bank couple that was missing has been found safe according to law enforcement. In a statement released by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, the pair Ronald, 83, and Mary Denny, 82, both went missing the night of February 25th. Law enforcement officers said that the couple was located later Wednesday. They were both safe in Horry County in the northeast portion of South Carolina according to deputies.

SLED had issued an endangered person notification for the couple Wednesday afternoon, according to deputies. The Dennys, both residents of an assisted living facility, had not returned to that facility after going out to supper around 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. They were driving their green Hyundai Santa Fe, according to deputies.

A statement from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department had said that the pair were last seen on surveillance video at the Red Bank Wal-Mart. Both had issues with memory causing their family to be concerned about their whereabouts. No one has said what made them drive halfway across the state to end up near Myrtle Beach.
