South Congaree Police officers arrest mail thief

South Congaree, SC (Diana Nation) - Tuesday morning, South Congaree police officers arrested Eric Snipes after he was found stealing mail from a South Congaree residence's mailbox.

It was also discovered at this time that Snipes was in possession of drug paraphernalia and was driving under suspension. As a result of this, Snipes was charges with the possession of drug paraphernalia and DUS 4th. He was also charged with other related offenses not listed.

According to the website www.criminal.findlaw.com, the theft of mail from someone's mailbox is a federal offense. It is a felony which carries the potential for lengthy prison sentences as well as hefty fines.

The South Congaree police department is continuing to investigate to see if Snipes is possibly linked to other mail thefts or larcenies in the area.

Snipes has apparently already bonded out of jail as he is not currently listed on the Lexington County Detention Center's roster of inmates.
