State troopers searching for sedan after hit and run near Edmund Highway and Gator Road early Wednes

Edmund, SC (Paul Kirby) – Sr. Trooper David Jones of the SC Highway Patrol says that the patrol needs the public’s help finding a vehicle that hit a pedestrian around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday morning before fleeing the scene. The collision occurred on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 near Edmund Highway (SC 302) and the intersection of Gator Road between the Town of South Congaree and the Edmund community.

Jones said at this point, the patrol is trying to find out more about the car that struck the person and then fled. Right now, all they know is it may have been a white sedan. They say that the person struck was seriously injured and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
