Lexington SC (Paul Kirby) – Governor Henry McMaster has ordered that all South Carolina schools be closed through the end of the month. He did so out abundance of caution because the coronavirus continues to spread across the state.
According to Governor McMaster, some schools will be to allowed to open in counties who haven't had confirmed cases of the virus Monday to set up their students for distance or e-Learning. This requires that they have internet access at home. Individuals districts will notify parents if their students are to attend school on Monday.
Many districts are now trying to develop plans to feed students who depend on their schools for several meals a day. The governor has said that some feeding stations may be opened to handle this problem.
