Lexington District Three makes change to COVID-19 food distribution plan

Batesburg-Leesville, SC - Lexington County School District Three is implementing a major change to its Student Feeding Program in the hopes of making the process easier on parents/guardians and limiting people-to-people contact in our community. Beginning on Monday, March 23rd, there will be only ONE food pick-up day per week. The pick-up day will occur every Monday and at that time, children will receive seven breakfasts and seven lunches to carry them through the entire week. Lexington Three will still disperse meals to children via a bus route with designated stops and through a drive-through line at Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School.

They ask participating students to remember a few this.

--The feeding program is free to all children under the age of 18.

--Children MUST be present in order to receive a bagged meal.

Bus Route Information:

A bus carrying bagged meals will make three stops each Monday at several points within the district’s lines in an effort to make food pick-up more accessible for families.
