County of Lexington asking you to take a short survey about the county
Lexington County, SC (Paul Kirby) – The County of Lexington is asking its residents to take a quick survey to help them get input on what community needs exist in this county. They want to hear from you so when they apply for grants, they choose ones that could help fulfill your community’s needs and make Lexington County an even better place to live.
Federal funds awarded to the County through various grants in the past have been used for many things. These grants paid for housing and community development projects within Lexington County. They’ve also previously received funding for projects that included a sewer line replacement project in the City of Cayce, a special needs van that was bought for our senior citizens, athletic scholarships and great afternoon/after school programs. Other grant money was received for homeless prevention, a special food bank for people with diabetes at Harvest Hope, and money that helped with housing repairs to bring homeowners’ houses up to the International Residential Code.
Take a few minutes to go through the survey and you’ll be able to express your ideas or needs for Lexington County in the future. You can find the survey by simply following this LINK or going to the County of Lexington’s social media pages.
