Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington police officers are providing a video that might be the clue that leads to the arrest of the graffiti bandit who struck overnight Sunday. This individual hit several places in the downtown area. The artist who vandalized those properties was caught on video riding up on a bicycle at one of the crime scenes.
Please take a good look at this person in the video. When captured, the suspect will have a lot of explaining and hopefully some cleaning up to do. If you watch closely, you can see the individual ride to the side of the building where the suspect is believed to have spray painted on the building and then quickly fled.
There have been questions in the comments asking if these tags are gang related. Police say there is no indication in the graffiti to point to it having any affiliation to a criminal gang.
If you have seen this graffiti design before, or know who the individual is on this bike, please call Detective Payton at 803-358-7271.
