Lexington Police Department asking for help to locate shoplifter that hit Wal-Mart

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - The Lexington Police Department needs the community’s help to identify a shoplifter who acted like Wal-Mart had an Everything is Free Today sale. The incident occurred at the Wal-Mart on Sunset Blvd. on March 9, 2020.

The young Caucasian lady, wearing red shorts and a dark top with a Nike swoosh at the time, just loaded a television valued at over $475 on a cart and strolled or stumbled out the door with it. Right as she crosses the threshold, she looks as if she almost tripped or twisted her ankle. Wouldn’t that have been poetic justice? Now, police would like to show her the only thing that’s free at the store when you act this way, handcuffs!

Once she came out, she and a male accomplice who was waiting nearby, loaded the television into an older model red GMC pickup. Then they just casually drove away. The man driving the truck also appears to be a Caucasian good ole boy with a ball cap on his head. From his attire and look, he could almost be a little league coach, or the guy next door who’s cutting his grass. The pair didn’t even bother to take the cart they used to the cart corral or back inside the store.
