Lexington County Coroner identifies man who perished in mobile home fire

Pelion, SC (Diana Nation) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the man found dead following a residential structure fire in the 500 block of Tindal Road that began just before 11:30 p.m. on April 9, 2020.

According to Coroner Fisher, James A. Moore II, 33, of Pelion, was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries he sustained in the fire. Mr. Moore was the only occupant of the single-wide mobile home at the time of the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.
