Irmo, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Irmo Fire District responded to Irmo High School on St. Andrews Road Wednesday morning. The fire personnel and equipment was dispatched around 6:20 a.m. According to the Lexington County Communications Center, no one was injured in the collision.

This situation is in its early stages. At this point, the IFD has reported that a Ryder rental truck did hit the building. They have not said how much damage was done to the building itself. They also have not given any further information on the current condition of the truck or how the accident occurred.

This incident is in its earliest stage. We will follow up with the district once their battalion chief in command of the scene is available. Continue to check back for more information later Wednesday.
