Lexington police hope someone will recognize man who used counterfeit money at grocer

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington Police Department is hoping that someone will recognize a man that was involved in a counterfeiting and forgery incident at Lowe’s Food in town. This happened on April 21, 2020.

He was caught on the store’s surveillance cameras as he perpetrated these crimes. He used the fake bills to purchase gift cards.

Please take a close look at the man. His image is very clear. The man is African American and had a blue t-shirt on with a large, distinctive design at the time. He was also wearing a ball cap that was red and black at the time of the incident.
