Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) - The City of Cayce has extended the closure of its Municipal Court through May 30, 2020. This was done in response to the outbreak of the COVID-19 and concern for public’s health. The court system has not yet been included in any relaxation of orders from Governor McMaster or the higher courts.
The City said via social media this week that all parties who have been cited or have had a court date scheduled will be notified of their new court date once the court systems are reopened. They will do this by mailing a notice to the address that was on file at the time that an individual was cited. If you have moved and changed your address, it is your responsibility to update your address with the Cayce Municipal Court. You can do that in several ways. First, you may call (803) 550-9550 and leave a message. This message must be understandable so anyone who calls should speak clearly. With your message, you must include your name, address, and a phone number where you can be reached. You can also email the same information that includes your new address to rstuckey@caycesc.gov.
Fine payments can be made online at www.CayceCourtPmts.com, by phone at (803) 234-6867, or by mailing a money order or cashier’s check. Cashier’s checks should be mailed to the Cayce Municipal Court at P.O. Box 3408, Cayce, SC 29171.
