Suspects being sought after thieves steal tractor, boat, motorcycle, and other items near Swansea

Swansea, SC (Paul Kirby) – A Lexington County man is out more than $50,000 after multiple expensive items were stolen from his Swansea area home. This happened out SC Highway #6 not far from Swansea High School recently.

According to the owner, a tractor, its trailer, a motorcycle, johnboat on a trailer, and multiple firearms were stolen from his home. The thieves even took a “Bullet Hole” rim off his truck with a mud tire mounted on it! The tractor and its trailer were for working, but most of his things he bought to relax and enjoy the outdoors and the fruits of his labor. He has filed a report with the proper law enforcement agency but is hoping someone might recognize a vehicle caught on a surveillance camera that was making off with his tractor on his utility trailer!

Have you seen anyone with any of these items for sale? Maybe someone you know or have seen is using them to work or play. The homeowner says the tractor was a Kubota 2501 with front-end loader, a 4 in 1 bucket, and a bush hog. It was loaded onto an 18-foot dovetail trailer that had damage to its fenders. The boat was a 2015 Havoc with a 50 hp Yamaha 2 stroke outboard motor. It was on an aluminum EZ-Load trailer. The motorcycle was a 2004 Honda Shadow 1100 that was blue in color. A description of the firearms is also in the hands of law enforcement.

Please look at the pictures and see if you recognize the older model SUV. It appears to be a Chevrolet Suburban. The picture is clear enough to say that it has aftermarket tires, wheels, and window tint. The owner of the stolen items says it apparently was damaged on its passenger side.

There are several ways you can help. If you think you recognize the Chevrolet, you can send a tip. Perhaps you’ve seen these items listed for sale or being used. Keep in mind they could be sold in parts. Have you seen a good deal on a brush hog, a boat motor, or a dual axle trailer? The motorcycle may be whole or in parts by now being sold piece by piece. The victim believes several vehicles and people were involved. In order to get these expensive things quickly, others must have helped. A strange vehicle might have been riding around before the crime looking for a score like this. Have you seen any suspicious vehicles in the Swansea or Gaston areas?
