Just last week, one officer ran the tag of a Mazda pickup truck being driven in the town. It came back registered to a Dodge Ram pickup instead. Apparently, the tag was reported after being stolen to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. Officers stopped the truck and checked its Vehicle Identification Number. It revealed that the Mazda was also stolen in Lexington County.

Amos Albertson, the man driving the truck, was placed under arrest for several traffic violations, simple possession of marijuana, and having the stolen goods and paraphernalia. Warrants were obtained that included possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of methamphetamines. Albertson was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center. He has since been released on bond.
