Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) - Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the name of the young man killed in the single-vehicle accident that happened on I-20 westbound, near the 61 mile just before 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2020. According to Coroner Fisher, Cody David Moody, 24, of Pelion was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries.
Fisher said Moody’s vehicle left the right side of the interstate and collided with a guard rail. He was the only person in the truck and was wearing his seat belt when the incident occurred.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
