West Columbia, SC – Primal Gourmet Kitchen + Market Owner Greg Martin reached out to the City of West Columbia and donated boxed lunches to all City of West Columbia essential employees on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Employees, not working remotely, throughout the City of West Columbia Departments, include Police, Fire, Sanitation, Parks, Maintenance, Water/Sewer, Water Plants, Finance, Building, Customer Service, Planning and Zoning, Court, and Administration. These department's employees came to the open area near the Community Garden at City Hall to pick up a cheeseburger or turkey burger, cooked on-site by the owner of Primal Gourmet, along with a pasta side, and a drink.
Throughout the COVID-19 Crisis, Primal Gourmet Kitchen + Market has provided over 4,200 meals to frontline workers across the Midlands. He has given meals to healthcare workers, first responders, municipalities, and other essential employees.
Mayor Tem Miles said, “We’re coming up on the first anniversary of Primal Gourmet Kitchen + Market joining the West Columbia community. We are so thankful for all that they’ve done to improve our culinary offerings and give back to our community.”
