2020 season of Reggaetronic Lake Murray Music Festival rescheduled

Lake Murray, SC (Paul Kirby) - The 2020 season of the ever popular Reggaetronic Lake Murray Music Festival has been postponed. The new date for the popular event is now Saturday, July 25, 2020 on Lake Murray at Spence Island. The show was postponed as organizers that spend months bringing this festival together dealt with the unknowns of the COVID-19 like the rest of the world.

According to the event’s website at www.reggaetronicsc.com, the Reggaetronic Lake Murray Music festival is a celebration of music and togetherness igniting the soul of Columbia and Lake Murray. This unforgettable outdoor festival is the perfect tribute to giving back to the community while enjoying some great music and fun in the sun. Its proceeds benefit the Shriners Children’s Hospital.

Each year, hundreds of boats carrying thousands of fans gather at Lake Murray’s Spence Island to enjoy this one of a kind event. There is no road access to the island locale. There, two small islands are joined by an underwater clay bar creating a natural cove. Even the festival’s equipment, staff, and artists are moved across the water by the production teams. Spence Island is near the Lexington side of Lake Murray and is a perfect place to hold this one-day festival.

Fans in boats either raft together or anchor in or near the island cove as they enjoy the show and beautiful Lake Murray. They enjoy a variety of musical performers that range from contemporary country to the festival’s namesake, Reggae! It’s a huge party and no tickets are required.
