Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) – Officers with the Cayce Department of Public Safety arrested 22-year-old Noah B. Goering of Lexington, SC last week after he was identified for a crime he committed in May of this year. According to arrest warrants, Goering has been charged with malicious injury to real property after he vandalized the Cayce Riverwalk Park.

The department’s spokesman said that a crime tip provided by the public on June 3rd, 2020 provided enough evidence to begin looking for Goering. A witness identified him on June 5th, 2020 confirming officers’ suspicions that Goering was the man that committed this crime. When he learned that a warrant had been issued for his arrest, Goering turned himself in to law enforcement. He was taken to the Lexington County Detention Center and has since met the condition of his bond and been released.
A spokesman for the Cayce Department of Public safety said after the arrest, “We appreciate alert citizens who help us locate and prosecute offenders who attempt to take away from the beautiful outdoor area that is the Cayce Riverwalk.” The department has shown zero tolerance for this crime in the past and that is expected to continue.
