Lexington Police Department’s night shift working hard to get those drugs off the streets

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – The officers of the Lexington Police Department’s D-Shift arrested three suspects this week after what they thought was a routine traffic stop. Because of the keen senses of the well-trained officers who were on the stop, they knew something was up with the three in the car and asked a few more questions. Eventually, they found that the driver and passengers were just passing through, they were in Lexington to deal drugs to people in the town’s neighborhoods.

That routine traffic stop ended with the three being charged with multiple crimes. They ranged from Trafficking Methamphetamine to Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute them, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, Providing False Information to Law Enforcement, and several more just to round it out. These suspects were booked into the Lexington County Detention Center.

Lexington PD’s Patrol Division officers are on duty 24 hours a day riding the streets of the Town of Lexington, SC. All those officers are sworn to uphold the law. They are always focused on keeping that community safe. The next time someone thinks they can ride dirty through Lexington, they better think about that again.
