Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington police department continues to have great success after asking you the public for your help identifying criminals who try and get by with things in the town. Just this week, they received identification on the Lowe’s Food shoplifters a short while after their pictures were posted. Now, they are asking if you know who owns or was driving this black car used during a crime.

The pictured vehicle was involved in a theft from motor vehicles at Lowe's Home Improvements store on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington. The vehicle is a black Chevrolet Impala or Malibu with very distinct damage to the roof and dents on both sides near the rear doors.

The subject that was in this car broke the driver's side window out of the victim’s vehicle and stole a firearm out of the center console. This means that another pistol is in the hands of the bad guys and they need to remedy that fast!

Look very closely. No tip is a bad tip. There may be one little thing that catches your eye. If you have any information about the identity of the subject driving or who owns this vehicle, or even who may have been driving it at some point, please contact Detective Alewine at 803-358-7262 or e-mail him atealewine@lexsc.com.
