West Columbia, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Brookland United Methodist church’s Clothing Closet helped clothe over 400 homeless people this week at the Transitions Homeless Shelter in Columbia, SC.
“God is at Work here at Brookland UMC big time and in many ways,” stated the church’s Media Director Joey Yandle as the donation was being made. Yandle said that many thanks should go to Nancy, Linda, Amari, Sherry, Deane, and Joey for all the countless hours they’ve donated while helping establish and setup this ministry at Brookland UMC.
Yandle closed by saying, “We have an active Clothing Closet Ministry available to anyone who needs clothing at no cost! We also accept donations of gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories. During these hard times and in the midst of this pandemic, we are still at work in our community.”
