South Congaree Police Department with a special assist seize, drugs, money and a gun following crash

South Congaree, SC (Diana Nation) – An officer from the South Congaree Police Department arrested Angela Gantt from Lexington, SC on Monday June 29, 2020, after she was involved in a collision off of McDonald Ave in the town. Gantt was attempting to leave the scene of the accident when a good Samaritan prevented this until officers were able to arrive on scene.

During South Congaree’s officer’s investigation, he requested Pine Ridge Police Department’s K-9 respond after it was believed that Gantt was concealing narcotics in the vehicle. After a positive alert on the vehicle from the K-9, officers located 160 grams of methamphetamine and marijuana inside the vehicle, as well as other paraphernalia and a handgun. Officers also seized $1500 in cash and have begun the process of seizing the suspect’s car.
Gantt was charged with Trafficking Meth, Possession with Intent to Distribute marijuana, Possession of a firearm by a person prohibited from doing so, Driving Under Suspension 2nd offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Reckless Driving according to arrest warrants.
