Lexington, SC – Tony Clyburn, veteran radio personality, returned to the airwaves as afternoon host on 93.1 The Lake (WZMJ) Monday. He can be heard weekdays from 3 until 6:00 p.m.
A beloved, longtime personality in this area, Clyburn had taken a hiatus from radio since parting ways with WTCB (B106) in 2018. "At 93.1 The LAKE, we aren’t just a radio station, there’s a lot going on beyond what happens on air. I’ve always loved stations with great clients and community partners,” he said. “So whether it’s fun and entertainment, or news and information, our obligation is to bring that to the listeners and to be able to do that every day is a blessing.” Clyburn also hosts a Hometown Heroes segment featuring stories about local first responders, volunteers and health care workers.
Clyburn is back with his longtime partner, Brent Johnson, WZMJ’s Program Director and morning host. "I’m thrilled to be working with the Clytanic again. I had the pleasure of working with him for nearly 25 years previously and we are already having a blast as we begin round 2.”
