West Columbia, SC – The West Columbia Fire Department was recently recognized by Fire Safe South Carolina and State Fire, in conjunction with the SC State Firefighters’ Association and the SC State Association of Fire Chiefs as being a 2019 Fire Safe South Carolina Community. This designation is awarded to select fire departments across the state of South Carolina who have demonstrated a commitment to developing and implementing successful community risk reductions plans in their jurisdictions.

These folks work hard everyday to keep our community safe through responding to fire calls, wrecks, medical assistance, and all other emergency calls.
