Cayce, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Cayce Department of Public Safety is requesting help from the community to identify several suspects that were caught on cameras trying to steal a vehicle. This isn’t their first rodeo either. They were driving a vehicle that was stolen while trying to commit this crime!
Both suspects appear to be Caucasian men. One was wearing a red colored t-shirt, blue shorts, and a pair of crocs. The other had on a Carolina Gamecocks’ jersey with the number 1 on it. He also had a gator around his neck to cover his face where that’s required. He is wearing blue jeans, dark shoes, and a watch or some sort of jewelry on his left arm.
Both have facial hair that look like goatees that are now growing into beards along the side. One is a heavier build than the other. The one in the passenger seat appears unfamiliar with the use of a basic seatbelt as he struggles with the shoulder strap when he exits the truck! They are entering a motel near the interstate and what appears to be soft luggage in the back of the truck could indicate they are staying here for work. That could have been there when they stole that truck too.
The truck they drove up in appears to be a white Ford short bed with a diamond treadplate toolbox pushed back against the tailgate. Their appearance and the vehicle they are driving could change quickly. They could shave, obviously be in different clothing, and they certainly have shown they are capable and willing to steal a different vehicle. Look at the video very closely and see if you might recognize either. Remember all this could change and experienced detectives have looked into all of this for clues.
