Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green swears in patrol officer that graduated SC Criminal Justice Ac
Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Chief Terrance Green took the time to swear in and congratulate a new member of the Lexington Police Department who recently graduated his basic training at the SC Criminal Justice Academy on July 17, 2020. Officer Januchowski took the oath and will begin working with a field training officer at the Lexington Police Department as soon as possible. He has been assigned to the department’s C-Shift in its Patrol Division.

The course that Officer Januchowski completed is South Carolina’s Basic Law Enforcement training program. It is currently twelve weeks long. Upon completion of that training, candidates become a certified Class 1 Law Enforcement Officer. A candidate for this designation must complete this training within the first twelve months of employment.
Januchowski’s jurisdictional limitations currently include the Town of Lexington and any surrounding law enforcement jurisdiction that has a mutual aid agreement with the Lexington Police Department and requests their assistance.
