Who that behind those Foster Grants, sheriff’s deputies would really like to know?

Lexington County, SC (Paul Kirby) – For some residents of Lexington County that were living in the mid-1960s, they may recall a popular ad campaign for an expensive brand of sunglasses that asked the question, “Who’s that behind those Foster Grants?” The glasses this fellow puts on while approaching a residence in Lexington County may not be that exact brand but none the less, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department would really like to know, “Who’s behind those shades?”

A residence’s doorbell camera catches a fellow wearing brown work pants much like Carhart’s or Dickies, a t-shirt with the sleeves cut off, and a ballcap on. He’s walking up to a home’s front door with either a clipboard or faux leather portfolio in his hand. It’s broad daylight so he’s very easy to see.

What may catch your eye about this fellow is the fact that while the man is in the yard in the sunlight, he’s wearing the shades on top his head. Then, just before he bounds up the steps onto the shady porch, he puts the sunglasses on his face. There's something a little backward about that don’t you think?

This guy has a very distinctive tattoo on his right arm and biceps that extends from his elbow to his shoulder. It even extends around toward his back until it disappears under his shirt. He stands with his face in profile the entire time he’s at the home’s door, but you can see that his beard is full and thick in the front but a bit thinner on each side. He seems very aware that he’s on camera and never gives us a good look at his full face.

If you think you recognize this man, deputies would like to know. They have a few things they’d like to talk over with him.
