Darlington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Laney Quickel, 18, a graduate of Lexington High School, was recently crowned Miss Raceway City USA at the Darlington Raceway Stock Car Museum. Laney made her debut on August 1, 2020 as the pageant’s winner.
Laney will go on to represent the Darlington County area at the Miss South Carolina USA pageant in March, 2021 at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. She will have the chance to become Miss South Carolina USA, Miss USA, and Miss Universe.
In another category, Ashleigh Smith, 18, a 2020 Airport High School graduate, was crowned Miss Darlington County Teen USA at the same pageant series held at the Darlington Raceway Stock Car Museum. She has a long history of winning on the pageant circuit.

Smith will also represent the Darlington County region of South Carolina at the Miss South Carolina Teen USA pageant to be held in March, 2021 at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. This will give her an opportunity to represent the state at the Miss Teen USA pageant.
According to their website at this LINK, the Miss Darlington County USA, Miss Darlington County Teen USA, Miss Raceway City, and the Miss Raceway City Teen USA pageants made their debut on August 1, 2020. As the girls competed this year, however, they were organized in a quite different and exciting way!
Led by Miss South Carolina USA and Miss South Carolina Teen USA Official Recruiter Will Isgett and Crown Elite, LLC, these pageants selected its four representatives that will now continue to the Miss South Carolina USA and Miss South Carolina Teen USA pageants for the first time. These winners are now the official representatives of Darlington County at those advanced pageants!
