Lexington, SC – Chief Terrence Green of the Lexington Police Department said late Friday, August 7, 2020 that investigators with his department are actively searching for Desmond Quiana Hampton, age 18 of Lexington. Hampton is wanted for his involvement in a recent armed robbery.
According to investigators, on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 4, 2020, Hampton, along with an accomplice who has already been arrested, robbed a victim at gunpoint at an apartment complex off of Park Road. Hampton and his accomplice took over $300 from their victim and then they fled the scene.
Since the date of the robbery, investigators have obtained arrest warrants for Desmond Quiana Hampton on the charge of Armed Robbery, Possession of Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Criminal Conspiracy. They are now trying to locate Hampton so those warrants can be served.
Police describe Hampton as a slender blank male that is approximately 6'1" and weighs about 160 pounds. He has a heart tattoo under his right eye, the words “D6IX” tattooed by his left eye, and a kiss lips tattoo on the left side of his neck.
Investigators say that Hampton is believed to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Taylor at 803-358-1569.
